HUSH HUSH

I heard a little something today……… its not confirmed nor can i divulge too much information….. but in the near future, you may all have Suzanne on your i-pod… Thats all I can say on this matter without encurring the wrath of Suzanne…….

ETSY

Suzanne has added bottle openers to Etsy last night and more to come over the weekend… So keep checking her shop for updates…

TODAYS ACHEIVEMENTS

Absolutely nothing………………. a lot of correspondance has been dealt with, Suzanne has spent the most of today assembling a wholesale catelogue to aid shops that want to stock her items. Its been slow progress but it really stunning and I’m thinking it may serve perfectly as a gorjuss catelogue in its own right… I’ll see once she’s finnished if that will be a goer. She has also got a long way through her second digital image for the next AMI pack… No sneak peaks yet, not until the new girl is dressed at the very least…

SO what was going on today I hear you ask……….. well I was gardening…trimming back the plants and trees, digging up weeds, and Im affraid all i have is some pictures of the garden for you……now I am the photographer for these photographs, and Im happy for any of you to use these pictures… just add a link to this blog or credit gorjuss with it… if you want to that is… πŸ˜‰

  1. Ooooh, I”m the first to post! : D

First, your garden is lovely! And grumpy or not, Kismet is adorable.

Did you know that slugs like beer?

I have too many favorite paintings to pick just one…so I will start with one and keep adding to the list. : )

My first choice is “Jade,” because my sister gave her to me for Christmas and she’s my very first Suzanne print. She is just lovely…and I”m pretty sure I squealed when I opened the package she was in!

    Have a good night, all!

    XO Beth

  2. Kismet is an amazing cat, we’re not sure if he thinks he’s a dog or not…. but he has very strange behaviours for a cat….

  3. Because I am an avid reader, the book-themed prints are my favs: “I found my family in a book”; “I haven’t fallen down yet”; and “I know it’s wrong”. Hard to choose, but I think #1 is “I found my family in a book” because I derive so much joy from reading. πŸ™‚ I would love to have a charming library with built-in shelves with book-themed prints interspersed among the books.

I also love the print with the little girl with the kitten. How about a print with books and cats? πŸ™‚

  4. Its hard to say which one of Suzanne’s l like and why. l beleive in her work and feel her images are peaceful and calming with a unique style that make each and everyone amazing.

But anyhow l do love ‘ The Wall Beside The Lilies” and “The Wall Beside The Lilies Again”its reminders me of a photo of myself and my older brother when l was about three sitting on a stone area with my stuffed Rabbit.

Its unique as in color and peaceful, the girl looks deep in thought. The added touch of the lilies shows the beauty within us all is always there.

    WOW! l did go on.

    Hugs lee

  5. Today I love Hang Me Up to Dry. The girl is so adorable along with her socks. I just think it’s lovely. And I like the green. Good luck everyone!

Grant I sure am confused if we are supposed to post more than once per day or not. But for now, I’m only posting once per day! Thank you!

  6. I think it’s ok to post more than once a day? Just not back-to-back, right?

One of my very favorite paintings by Suzanne is “Alone 1” and also “Alone 2.” The little boy looks so much like my 6-year-old, Matthew. He’s so sweet, like my little Matts. And he seems to be conveying so much through his eyes and the open expression on his face…my Matthew has autism and I see the same look with him…he says so much through his eyes, sometimes without saying a word.

    XO Beth

  7. Well, now you’re really making this challenge hard. You actually want us to pick just ONE! Impossible! So we’ll start with “Remember”. I love this one. I think it’s the backdrop for the painting that attracts me to is. I love Calla Lilies.

  8. oh my ….that is too hard …. I love the ones I have bought and the ones I have yet to buy πŸ™‚ The new apple girl could become one of my favs…..she is beautiful. The lil girl with the foxes is probably my new favorites……. or …or maybe the hedgehogs ….oh my !!!!
Your pics are just great …..though I might be a lil afraid of your “sweet” lil cat …. lol !!! maybe bring my pups along:) Your pictures are just lovely and I was looking for a background challenge for my group. With the credits to gorjuss I hope it it is okay to make a challenge πŸ™‚

I loved all of your “fairy tales, fables …etc ….!!! ” Sleep tight you all ~ Robyn (hearts)

  10. NEW Rule added to friday night giveaway to clarify how many times you can comment per day…

Rule 4.5… go check it out and go CRAZY

  11. ooh do you mean actual paintings or can it be commission painting lol, because in that case my fave is my little ones commission with her doggy, suzanne got the doggy perfect and my coley too!

  12. I have only purchased 2 prints so far. But of the 2 that I have purchased my favorite is Turning Over a New Leaf. It is hard for me to explain why this is my favorite, but while I was browsing through the prints that were available, this one just jumped out at me. It definitely reflects what I need to do in my life as hard or as painful as it might be.

  13. i am loving the new art! the apple doesnt fall far from the tree awsome!
i do like they put me in a drawer too, when my sister was a baby my other sister was in hospital with a brain tumor so me, my 2 brothers and my baby sister had to stay at my grans, my gran didnt have a cot, so she emptied her top draw for my sister pmsl, oh and me and my brothers never shut it honest!

  14. Posting again since rule 4.5 says it’s ok.

Another one of Suzanne’s paintings I adore is “Lost for Words.” I love the girl’s pigtails! And I had a sundress very similar to her dress when I was a little girl waaaaaaay back in 1976…so this painting makes me nostalgic for my little girlhood. : )

    XO Beth

  15. thats sweet beth πŸ™‚
i think thats whats so nice about suzannes work, you can find yourself in them,

  16. So true, Sez! No other artist has touched my heart the way Suzanne has with her beautiful creations! :* )

  17. Wow, I see you have a beautiful garden and am very impressed, my green thumb seems to have died. lol. Oh well, glad to see you are doing well and thank you for sharing photos!

  18. Oops, duh! Come here to comment and got sidetracked by the nice photos of the plants. lol.

Okay, my favorite painting by Suzanne? That’s really a hard one honestly… lol.

I had to narrow it down, the get-away is one of course because the attitude she has in it yet it’s commical at the same time. We all know she can’t ride away on a rocking horse but it’s the attitude she gives, almost as if she can do anything she wants.

Others can be favorites because they are so stinking cute, I love to work with them and own three prints myself now. Each is so special really… so many to choose from.

All at Sea is my favorite I think. I made a tag with that one and it really spoke to me… I put the quote with it “It is such a secret place, the land of tears” That really spoke to me because that’s such a universal thing, such a private and deep emotion that we don’t share with a lot of people. It may not be what she was trying to say but that’s the beauty of art, it speaks to us all differently.

  19. What a cute flat-faced, fuzzy wuzzy, grumpycat! Apparently does not like to have his photo taken, hence his lack of smilage. Maybe he’s smiling on the inside?

  20. “Turning Over A New Leaf” is another fav of mine. I love the little tear rolling down her cheek. It’s so subtle and sweet.

  21. I love them all but my newest all time fav is The Toadstools..it’s just precious!!
    xoxoxo

  22. “Sowing the Seeds” is also another favorite. I love the colors used in this one.

  23. Okay so blond moment, didn’t mean to break the rules!!! I didn’t mean to post back to back there and appologize… unless of course you hadn’t noticed and now are thinking “what was she doing?” lol. Ugh… just got excited I guess. πŸ™‚

  24. Ok since nobody wants to be 24 AGAIN…lol….I will. Good luck #25!

  25. alright…i’m cheating because i have two favorites…

i love “jade” because of her wistful look…i wonder what she’s thinking…

i also love “walk the line” because i wonder how she got into that predicament. i think the bird on the left wonders that as well. πŸ˜‰
