Welcome to the first of our “Websclusive Friday Night Give-Away’s”, this is where Suzanne and I get to “test” our new products on our guineapigs…erm i mean gorjuss fans. So Every month or so we will run a little friday giveaway night, and maybe more than that should our R&D deptarment pull his finger out…oh wait thats me. Erm… so what is this about? In the next few weeks we will run some more competitions as well, some of them will target your tagging skills, some will maybe get you to make some fan art… yeah Suzanne will love that, lol… and some may be like tonight… answering a question or filling in the blank.

Ok before I get to tonights task to earn a free something, its time to show you what that something is………

  1. “ I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE…………….. ”

I love Suzanne’s work because although each peice signifies a specific feeling or meaning to her, it also signifies many different feelings and meanings to those who use her art to create with.

    it’s sweet as can be,
    but edgy to boot.
    From gothy and gory
    to girlie and cute.

  9. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because she expresses the little girl inside us all in every piece that she creates.. the girl we sometimes don’t want others to see, the curiosity, the longing, the happiness, the “naiveness”… gorjuss, shows our soul and make it beautiful every time… 🙂

  10. I Like Suzannes Art because, Her beautiful girls remind me so much of what our daughter looked like when she was a little girl, especially the dark haired girls with the straight bangs!! I really adore the recent pack 16 tubes at artistic minds!! thank you so very much Suzanne for the gorjuss art!!

  11. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because it is so unique and it’s like taking a time machine back to my youth

    Dawn

  12. I Love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because it puts me in touch with so many emotions. So many of them go places that other artists are afraid to go, specifically challenges that face some of today’s children and are taboo to speak about, let alone paint art about in such a way. She is able to get that message across in a way that is very unique making the scenery around the girls tell the story as much as the girls themselves. It’s also nice because she has the light and fun paintings, the dancing girls for example are so elegant and remind us that no matter your age it’s important to still feel free and dance. She’s just an awesome artist, I am definitely a huge fan!

  13. I LOVE Suzanne’s work … I think I’ve ALWAYS loved Suzanne’s work … in fact I KNOW I’ve loved Suzanne’s work … even BEFORE I KNEW I LOVED Suzanne’s work!! Seriously, I’m a fan(atic) of hers and own many ACEOs. I love the richness of the textures of the originals, as well as the colours and the deep, inner most personal emotions that they evoke. The pieces give me some insight into who Suzanne is, as well as having become a personal expression of who I am. My pc is surrounded by her ACEOs and such (buttons, key chains) and they inspire me in many ways. And that’s why I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work.

  14. I love Suzanne Wolcott’s work because it is very beautiful and makes me feel good to look at it.

  15. hehe cute poem Monti

    lemme see now…..
Oh how’s things Mr G? hope all is well and you are looking after our Soozy

Back to the question in hand….

    I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’S WORK BECAUSE……
    it’s perfect in every way
    (kinda like Mary Poppins lol)

  16. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because……it soothes my pain, provokes my heart, calms my nerves and unravels my mind. Suzanne, your art inspires me.

  17. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE…………….. they are unique, cute but not cutsie, and very different from any other art I have seen.

  18. ahhh love your anwer too Fi

  19. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because they are amazing and fill my heart with joy everytime i see one…

  20. Hi Fi, Im doing my best to help Suzanne out, and I have offered to keep her blog updated with all the things she is busy wheeling and dealing…

She will also be blogging too, but i will be making far more frequent updates on her behalf, while she makes the long road to recovery..

Can I just thank everyone for their responses so far… Suzanne is reading all of them and smiling and giggling away..

thanks again… for being the best fans in the world…

  21. I just have a question…can we enter (and possibly win) every contest?

  22. I love Suzanne’s work because each piece has so much deeper meaning behind it. Some of the little girls really make you feel their pain and you realize just how many “real” little girls are going through the exact emotion that the Gorjuss girls are experiencing. I just really like how well Suzanne portrays so many different emotions through these wonderful works of art. And they’re simply adorable, too!

  23. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE

I am able to look at her work and feel refreshed, not seeing the same thing I see in just about EVERY OTHER art gallery.. ie anime, manga, furres, ect…

It brings out the child within me and brightens my day with a smile ^^

    happy healing 😀

  24. Nice to meet you Mr. G! *waves wildly to Soozy* Suzanne makes it easy to be a fan and a friend … she always gives back in return. Love ya, Soozy. xox

  25. Jai good question, you can enter EVERY competition for sure, but only one entry per competition will be considered…
So even if you dont want this prize.. LOL… you are welcome to enter and not worry that the next prize is AWESOMER!! i made that word up… I bet Suzanne hates it.. lol..

Ok so take part and enter the next one again and so on.. we’re not going to punnish people for winning…

    GOOD LUCK..

  26. “ I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE…………….. ”

She has something for all of my moods… I have chronic depression that comes and goes, but am also an optimist… whenever I see a new picture of hers, I can relate either in the past or at the moment. Even the sadder, melancholoy works are still cute and pleasant to look at… they help to make me feel better, not worse like some dark, moody arts do!

  27. I love Awesomer. Lets all use it and get it into the dictionary lol.

  28. I love Suzanne’s work because it is cute yet has a dark side. It is so much fun to work with when PSPing. It looks awesome on my walls, in my books (bookmark) on my work lanyard (pin)and it brought many new PSP friends into my life. Thank you Suzanne!!!!

  29. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because, her characters are very sweet and sometimes with an edge to it, which let people see that although things can look sweet and innocent, things aren’t always that, but hide stronger/deeper emotions.

  30. Hello you 2 lol..well i think i might have a go at this..And sorry suzanne i have no grapes to feed you sweetie 😉

i love suzannes work because these little gorjuss girls remind me of my childhod and upbringing..well i guess you can say i didnt fit in.And all the emotions i went through in my childhood years are in each and every one of these girls..Suzanne sweetie i dont know how you do it but you do and you have made my life such a happier place and helped me understand alot about my life.

many hugz to you and family

  31. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’S WORK BECAUSE….Behind every girl there is a story.Just like behind all of us there is a story.I can look at the girls and immediately identify with one or more of them. The feeling of sadness and loneliness i’m sure we can all identify with. The girls bring out the child in us again.Be it a lost childhood or not.

  32. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE…………….. it just reminds me on how it used to be when i was younger how my emotions were, and it all just shows through her art. Her different pieces show a whole big story with just one SUPER creative and cute picture/drawing. Even if i wasn’t going to get something its still good to compliment people for the hard work they put in their art. By her expressing her mood and showing other people what she believes and the inner meaning that the art gives to everyone else,(who even takes the time to ponder and think about what the artist must have been thinking when making the piece:) ) the inner meaning of it. 🙂 On deviantART i have faved most of her work because every one of them brings back some sort of memory that makes me remember how sweet and well “gorjuss” my life has been. 😀 Well hopefully my comment has made you feel better and happier and like always Bee Happy and keep drawing!!!!

  33. I Love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because her little girls carry so much emotion with only two little dark eyes…

  34. I love Suzanne’s work because…..I see things but can’t transfer them from my mind and Suzanne’s art work hits the spot.

  35. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because…..her images have a sweet innocence about them that is so missing in today’s world. How nice it is to live in that land of make believe and see life through rose colored glasses!

  36. I love it because it is “dark” and then not! Instead of this happy smiling little girl face which we all know isn’t there most the time the face doesn’t hold a real expression. It’s left up to you to decide what she is feeling!! The work is awesome!!! Thank You!

  37. Hey Lorna good to see you get here in plenty of time… lol..

Do you need to change bus on the way to the blog??

Im kidding with you.. good to see you and we look forward to seeing you at our next venture… where ever it may be..

  38. “ I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE……………..

it depicts a variety of emotions, some quite dark but, mainly, because its so darned CUTE!!!

  39. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE…………….. It is beautifully serene. The colors are always well picked and it lifts my spirits when I look at it. 😀

  40. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because it is so original. Everything is just so cute. It reminds me of when I grew up back in the good ole days. And the more I use it the more I fall in love with it. 🙂

  41. I love Suzanne’s work for many reasons. I only discovered it about 3 or 4 months ago and can honestly say I adore them all. Some make me happy, some sad, but most of them represent something true about me. As I am used to living a facade and sometimes forget the “real” me, the Gorjuss girls give me a reality check! Gee, don’t I need one… hellooooooooooo!
Anyway, I wish I were an arty type and creative, but I’m not so just as well Suzanne is around really to fulfill my needs lol! I think I’ve rambled on enough… you and your work doeth rocketh alot!

  42. Hello Cyn (aka CamoChick),
Im using your Sunday name here… lol.. Its very nice to meet you as well. And Suzy sends her hello from her bed.. she says it hurts so much when shes trying to read the screen… LOL.

Will she stop trying… NO.. so its all her own fault..

    Thanks for entering…

  43. I love Suzanne’s work because it pulls you in and you just cant help getting charmed by her work 🙂

  44. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE……………..those little Gorjuss girls talk to me (no i don’t hear voices in my head lol). What I mean is, when I look at them I can see messages of pain, happiness, loneliness and all sorts of emotions shining through. Each one is so unique and has her own little story to tell. No matter how I am feeling, I can look at the Gorjuss girls and find one that feels the same as I do. They are like having many friends who understand and know the emotions we go through.

  45. I love suzanne woolcott’s artwork because it is simple yet expressive…innocent yet dark at times…innovative but reminiscent of other works…
one can’t remain indifferent to the gorjuss girls…the cute ones make you smile, the abused and hurting ones make you angry and the specimens and hanging ones make you think: what the heck was suzanne thinking when she drew that!!???…
i love that suzanne’s artwork expresses not only her talent, but allows for so many many other people to use that creative energy and produce works of beauty of their own….and unselfishly share those creations with so many many other (some without an ounce of talent like me!)….
suzanne’s work has universal appeal to all ages…
that’s my story and i’m sticking to it!!

    ps….
*remind me what’s wrong with nudity? huh? just asking…ok…nm….
*ummm also..i am trying really really hard not to mention that the capn has a few typos and is missing a kazillion apostrophes…but it’s an obsession i tell you!!(therefore please consider any typos in this response to be “sympathetic” typos- tyvm)
*top hats on monkeys riding bare back?? was that on the unicorns?? don’t forget my ladybugs and plus sized curly haired girls skipping…….

  46. Oi Maddy!! I didnt forget them, they roam free… I beleive in free range letters and punctuation… I don’t limit them to the normal rules of language… hah..

your capitalist views have been noted thought.. lol…

Im terrible, i type as i think…….hence the errors…. thanks for bringing them up..

lol.. I’ll get you to preview my next post then!!

  47. pps…those of us without tagging skills or fan art skills or any other skills besides surfing the net and chatting and being really really annoying at correcting other ppl’s grammar and spelling really really appreciate the answering or fill in the blank option !!!

  48. ohh free range apostrophes….what’s the going price pee pound??
umm…type as you think is scary but …a few misfiring neurons i can relate to though!
please take it in the manner in which it was intended…humourous..as i have already ticked off my quota of ppl for the month of april and have a backlog thru till mid may!!

i do love the people suzanne surrounds herself with ( btw why are u near her in bed…just asking?? ) and their senses of humour and the bizzare coupled with their unflappability (is that a made up word too??) 🙂

  49. lol PER pound dang nab it..not …the other LOL…

  50. HI Maddy, LOL the most interesting question of this blog award goes to you…

For that you win a bookmark of your choice, I’ll print it and post it to you…
I am Mr G, Suzannes husband, hopefully that will allieve your worries….

Heheh… I have successfully created the “free range words” book range in the Tusco’s suparstores. If you go to their Bouk shelfs you can pick up a copy of Hirry Patter and various other books. Such as Wir un Pise. All very good reads…

I took it in the manner you meant… i wanted to explain that I do type as i think so it explains the layout and spelling often being a bit raw… Thanks for you comments and ill get in touch regarding that free bookmark..
