Welcome to the first of our “Websclusive Friday Night Give-Away’s”, this is where Suzanne and I get to “test” our new products on our guineapigs…erm i mean gorjuss fans. So Every month or so we will run a little friday giveaway night, and maybe more than that should our R&D deptarment pull his finger out…oh wait thats me. Erm… so what is this about? Well we want to give away our new items before they hit the ETSY shop, yes I said GIVE AWAY. For free….. Yup… free a rooney, nada pounds, nada dollars, nadda mula… just free and gratis..

HOW DO I GET IT? i hear you ask, well frankly in this corrupt world of competition and phone ins with dodgey 0845 numbers, we have decided to run a gorjathon… quite simply put, add a comment to this thread meeting the requirements of the competition.. and Suzanne herself shall pick the lucky winner… So please when making your comment/entry, please use a valid and correct email address so we can get in touch to get your details.

In the next few weeks we will run some more competitions as well, some of them will target your tagging skills, some will maybe get you to make some fan art… yeah Suzanne will love that, lol… and some may be like tonight… answering a question or filling in the blank.

Ok before I get to tonights task to earn a free something, its time to show you what that something is………

GORJUSS’s NEW BOTTLE OPENER FRIDGE MAGNET,

gorjuss bottle openers 02

gorjuss bottle openers 04 gorjuss bottle openers 03 gorjuss bottle openers 02

Yes dual purpose, not just a pretty picture, but can chew the head off of any bottle with a suitable top on it, ie not twist offs. It will not give you the ability to fly or lift heavy weights, nor will it grant your the power to travel accross the universe. How much will this cost you? Well you cant, thats right you cant buy this in any shop anywhere… no… not even for real money.. This is a new line of products coming to Suzannes Etsy shop soon. Terms and conditions may or may not apply.

OK so the first task of this FRIDAY NIGHT GIVEAWAY is…..

Complete The Following,

” I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE…………….. ”

Yes I know, its a shameless self promoting competition but it will hopefully cheer up the bruised and sore Suzanne, who is recovering from todays Chiropractor treatment. Ice packs are in use.. So the rules are simple…. 1 entry per valid email address…..the judgement will be made Sunday night no sooner than 10pm UK time, and the top answer will receive all four bottle openers. The COMPETITION CLOSES SUNDAY NIGHT 10PM,  you can enter the competition right up till 10pm UK time Sunday night…

We will contact the winner Sunday night to obtain an address to ship them to on Monday, we would also like it if they would re-comment once they receive the items so they can tell the world how good they are…

Im looking for novel and humerous answers that show you are as creative as your taste, obviously i will disqualify any answers of an abusive or racial nature, we dont tolerate that. Please keep it clean and win yourself a lovely exclusive item…

Well have a lovely weekend and I hope to be reading your replies soon.

  1. I love Suzanne’s work because they remind me of me…as a little girl so many years ago. They could be my inner child and make me smile whenever I see her artwork.

  2. ohh my….wow!! that’s awesome….winning a book mark..winning anything!! tysvm!! i would be honoured to own one 🙂 in fact i have someone on messenger now asking me to give it to her but i said NO!!

also i am quite relieved to hear that you are suzanne’s husband only because that will save a duel or pistols and dawn ..although…that could potentially inspire suzanne to create another few tubes 😉

  3. I love Gorjuss art because as a child I had a Raggedy Ann Doll that was very special to me. Now as a “grown-up” these adorable girls remind me of my doll, but it in an edgier gothy sort of way.

  4. lol ….lol ….lol ….Maddy made a mistake ! *skips away laughing*

  5. darn robyn…i was hoping no one would notice my creative interpetation of the word @ LOL…

  8. “ I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE…………….. ”

I love her artwork because it reminds me of my girls. There is a piece on dA called The Calm After the Storm. It always reminds me of bedtime at our house. I have two girls (3 and 12) and we all like to lay on the floor and pretend to look at the night sky before bed time. We have glow in the dark stars on the ceiling and we count them and I tell them I love them more than there are stars in the whole sky. Cheesy I know, but it is our fun.

I can think of a story to go with almost all of Suzanne’s art. It always moves me and puts smile on my face.

I hope you feel better soon and that you are in good spirits 🙂

  9. robyn made a typo….

  10. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because it resembles the beauty we can all be familiar with.
If ones tries to categorize Gorjuss’s fans into one category, it’s really hard to come out with a specific group. I’ve seen from sugary teenage girls to heavy metal headbangers having a picture or two of your drawings in their personal computers. :p

It takes great talent to capture universal emotions in such a unique way and be able to make a following of different kinds of people into your art.
    Kudos. 🙂

  11. sheesh @ you 2
get back to chitchat in JG

  12. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE no matter how bad of a day it has been (IE: Hubby goes and trades in one NEW mustang for another NEW mustang) or how sad I am that my kids are growing up and moving away (One just got married in october and the other is a heartbeat away from graduating hs) this little Gorjuss gal just makes me smile!

Thank you for sharing her with me.

  13. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because it always inspires me and shows me how simple can delicacy be and how “less is more”.

  14. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE…………….. I just know that Suzanne Woolcott is just a cute little lady. That her work is an imitation of what she looks like. Her work is adorable and I just know she is too!!!

  15. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE…………….. THE CHARACTERS HAVE A PERSONALITY ALL THEIR OWN AND I CAN IDENTIFY MYSELF IN CERTAIN ONES OF THEM AND IT GOES WITHUT SAYING THAT THEY ARE SUCH FUN TO TAG. THEY JUST TAKE ONE BACK TO ANOTHER ERA OF LIFE. THEY JUST REMIND ME OF THE SIMPLE LIFE..THEY MAKE ME FEEL ALL WARM AND FUZZY.

  16. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because,I can use my tags anywhere. Because picking one of her tubes means knowing everyone will awe and want one.Because in those faces are our feelings at some point in life. Because she keeps the kid in us all , and wanting more.Because you can spot her girls and know Suzanne’s creations are for everyone. MaryD

  17. “ I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE…her work is adorable but not sissy, emotional but not sappy, creative but not show-offish. Everything is done tastefully and makes a beautiful statement. xoxoxo

  19. I love Suzanne’s artwork as it reminds me of a childhood lost. They remind me of all the beautiful children in the world who need someone to love them, care about them and be there to kiss the tears away. Her artwork reminds me that even as an adult we can still have the heart of a child. Your artwork is truly amazing. Thank you.

  20. I love suzanne Woolcott’s work because I love all the colors she brings into her work… I love the feeling I get when I use them to make a tag… I love not having to worry about if its ok for this group or ok for that group its ok universal for everyone and every group.

  22. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s artwork because it is so expressive in a simple, yet profound way. Emotion in it’s purest form… that of a child. Your artwork speaks to the hopes and dreams of the child that still lives inside of me.

  23. I love Suzannes work because I can fill the ’empty face’ with mine, because some of the backgrounds awaken emotions buried deep inside.

  35. If a picture is worth a thousand words then Suzanne’s art is worth a million hearts. The little girls she creates touch a million hearts. For some it’s a reminder of days gone by. For others it’s looking at their own child in a new view. For some others it’s a glimpse into a not so kind past where they thought they were all alone. For me it’s all the reasons above.

I love using her art. Many of the little girls inspire me to create tags to bring about more awareness about things such as the environment, various abuses, things that ought not be forgotten and yet often get swept away in every day life, reminding us all that each one of us can make a difference in someone’s life.

I want to thank you Suzanne, not only for your art but rekindling a passion inside of me.

    lil one

  36. I don’t love SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s work. I’m such an ignorant that I didn’t even know this was her job (it is, right?)… I mean, it only happened to see one of her creations on DeviantArt, like it and continue watching what she uploads. I like the way she draws and I like the distance between the girl’s eyes… But I’d be lying if I said I loved her work, since I don’t remember of it when I’m not on DeviantArt. Sure it would rock to have a fridge manget like that… but it would be complicated to send it over here anyway. So way to go,Gorjuss!

  37. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because her paintings relate to my life. Several of the gorjuss girls remind me of my 3 daughters. Suzanne’s work is not only beautiful but it tells a story of its own in each piece. She amazes me with each new piece she creates. When life gets too complicated or chaotic you can always get lost in the awesome work of Suzanne Woolcott.

  38. i love suzanne woolcotts work because the king of the potatoes likes it too 🙂

also because her work is just plain gorjuss!

  39. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE……………..

No matter what picture she is drawing or what the scenery there is a deeper meaning in everything she does, Love and care go into everything she paints,
She paints for the love not just the painting, for children and for adults alike

  40. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because a) I noticed the Raconteurs in the last FM playlist! b) she uses last FM! lol c) the gorjuss girls are the best drawings ever to make scraptags with d) just because e) because I can! and f) the paintings are beautiful and all have a different story to tell.

Hope you feel better soon Suzanne!!!

  41. Oh good news, glad I made the cutoff…thanks Grant! : ) Even if I didn’t, I was happy to be able to share one of the many many many reasons I love Suzanne’s art!

Hope you are feeling better today, Suzanne!

    Beth

  42. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’S WORK BECAUSE she is unique in her creations and isn’t a copy cat she mixes goth with just the right amount of cuteness with all her many moods of her darling lil girls and boys which everyone can relate to because everyone feels the pain of broken hearts and the closeness of friends which are angels in disguise each lil girl is different i just am so glad she offers her work and talent =o)

  43. I love Suzanne’s work because how could I not? It’s amazing. Beautiful with sometimes an edge or mystery! Good luck to all! Off to Esty now…

  44. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE…..I honesty can’t give you a reason. I just do. It captured my attention and I couldn’t stop looking at it. It makes you think. I like that.

  45. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE……………..

It’s for children and adult alike. It’s so hard to find something that is for all eyes to see in the art world. Has a little gothish style, but in a cute way .. and each painting is unique and that is what I love about it all.

  46. I LOVE SUZANNE WOOLCOTT’s WORK BECAUSE:

Suzanne has away of showing so much feeling in her art. In it you see deep emotion in every work of art. Her creations are so cute and loveable, but if you look closely you can see each one has a story. Sometimes it is light and other times stormy. I love the depth of her work, and you get the feeling she loves every piece she releases. Mostly I love that her work makes you feel something. Whether happy or sad, Suzannes work always makes you think. Hugs, Jennie.

  47. I love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because she portrays the darker side of life in a way I never thought possible. Even her darker work still manages to look cute and unthreatening! I love the choice of colours, tone and most importantly the topic each artwork is based on. There is very few pieces of artwork she has created that I dislike, and I honestly don’t think I can say that about any other artist I’ve been following. 🙂 Joulz x X x

  48. I Love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because it takes me right into a dream world and I can’t think of a better place to be! =o))

  49. I Love Suzanne Woolcott’s work because it reminds me so much of me when I was a little girl and that makes me smile which isn’t often these days.

    thank you.
