of course there will be the ocassional car shows, and cook outs with family, and lazy' day's of summer too, cant really start on the roof till we know there are more than 2 days with no rain lol

  3. Our kids are grown up so we take our hols during term time. We have just come back from two weeks in Asia and it was AMAZING! We were lucky enough to bathe a baby elephant in the river and bottle feed another one. We also travelled through Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand and loved every minute of the holiday.

  4. No big plans this summer. I wish we could afford to take an awesome vacation but all we will probably do is go to Worlds of Fun (an amusement park in Kansas City, Missouri). It doesn't take much to make the kids happy!

  5. my planss are to sell the house and move into an apartment

  6. Loving the shop window display,Gorjuss heaven for sure!

No kids here so we can take vacation whenever we want. We are going on holiday to Greece in September. Scottish friends of ours are getting married over in Greece and we were invited so it is a wedding/holiday all in one. I cannot wait…hurry up September!

  7. We are spending a week in Hastings as it's where OH's parents live. Hoping to do the smugglers caves and go raid all the junk and antique shops! Can't wait for our hols next year – back to Loch Ness, YaY!

You do realise I'm now going to have to search that DS game down don't you? ๐Ÿ˜› Loving your journal pages but what ARE irregular shoes??

  8. No plans for the summer except work! work! work! I'm so tired of working. ๐Ÿ™ Can't wait to retire.

  9. The only thing I'm special I'm doing this summer is on my birthday. (Aug 29th) My best friend Ruth and her husband are coming up to visit me (They live 2 hours away) and we are going bowling, out to eat, rent or go to a movie, and getting Dairy Queen ice cream cake. ๐Ÿ™‚ Should be a blast!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  10. Well, we have three birthdays in September…our new SIL, my hubby and myself all have birthdays. Our daughter just got married October 2009 so their first anniversary will also be coming up ๐Ÿ™‚ To celebrate we are all going to meet on Rhode Island the second week of September and spend a few days touring some the historical mansions there, courtesy of hubby! I'm so excited, it will be wonderful to spend a few days with them ๐Ÿ™‚ That will likely be the only holiday this year!

I tried the link to the musical raindrops and it's really a treat to play lol I would love to have The White Rabbit to go with the Dear Alice print I won back when ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Love the journal pages!!!

Ok plans for summer?? Well since my hubby is currently in the middle east I plan on keeping me and my kids as busy as possible…we have road trips planned to Corpus Christi and Joshua texas as well camping at a local wildlife refuge and whatever else the summer brings us.. oh and going to a Toby Keith concert in about a week–Rae

  13. oh im loving everything youve been sharing on here i got some stuff this week but now that arm is broken wont be able to tag for a while im bummed

  14. I love Electroplankton :p It helps me calm down when I'm taking a plane to go back to my family.
Sadly, no vacation for us this year, we are saving some days for our wedding in a little less than a year.
But my parents are coming to visit us (they live in France, us in California) and I plan to take a long weekend with them in a cabin on the beautiful Lake Tahoe.
And for the rest of the summer, get to know and be love by our little kitten (Miss Fluff :p) we just got.

  15. they are just like they are drawn, normal shoe except for the toe part, which is nice and round on most shoes, on these shoes there is a little dent in, which makes you look like you have a kinda hoof… lol.. you can tell this is a man's description!!

    -Mr G

  16. We are retired. I don't travel well. (Wheelchairs don't travel well either. but…If I am home, sipping iced tea, working on the computer I am happier than a june bug. We save money so I spend more mone on artists' tubes.
    Liz

  17. Oh my, I cant say I'm the 'Camping type' but the idea of being greeted by a lovely Deer certainly sounds divine !! Hope your arms heals quickly !

  18. Oh my gosh, ignore his comment, Irregular Choice are a designer brand of footwear, they are quite unique, check their website out: http://www.irregularchoice.com/

  19. I am doing nothing but working this summer! I think I only have 5 days off total!

  20. Have loved these…and what plans might the G family have?
Our plans are to visit Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in July then come home a few days and head to Indianapolis, Indiana to visit my sister while hubby goes to the NASCAR race with my BIL. Otherwise, I'll be spending LOTS of time with my new granddaughter and out in our pool enjoying life.

  21. We are driving to Sweden to visit Astrid Lindgren's world and “meeting” Pippi Longstocking and all the other sweet charcters from AL's books. I think the kids will have so much fun!!(But I'm not looking forwad to the 3 day drive from where we live in Norway..

  22. Taking Dan on holiday to Filey for a week, other than that we will be working on our garden and trying to get that sorted out.

  23. My summer plans are rather boring but exciting all rolled in to one lol We won't be going on holiday since I've just spent the past four months at home on maternity leave. But my exciting summer plans are that when I do go back to work in two weeks I'm starting a new job!! I'm really excited about it, even though I'll probably be bawling the first day I have to leave Emma with her dad to go to work lol And I'm lucky hubby is home for the summer otherwise she'd be going to the daycare already!

  24. It's not summer holidays down here in New Zealand! But we have got winter holidays just 1 week away. We're getting a puppy! I am SO excited. ๐Ÿ™‚

  25. we are going somewhere fantastic! Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida. Thanks for the chance to win … love this print!

  26. You can now leave comments with your FACEBOOK log in… hurray… big thanks to Mr G for sorting it out…..

  27. We are heading of to Spain for our 1st family holiday abroad ๐Ÿ™‚ and I actually get a week away from the shop so full on family time!! Its more special as our baby will be turning 8 when out there and we're throwing her a pool party with Sponge Bob bunting lol
Roll on 6th, happy holidays x

  28. Well, my plans aren't an exotic vacation but it should be fun, none the less!. We're having a baby next week (or whenever she decides to show her beautiful face) So, I'm thinking that will keep us very busy this summer!

  29. She is BEAUTIFUL, thank you for letting us have the chance to win her.
Next weekend for the fourth of July celebration we have about 50 friends, family and neighbors getting together for a huge cookout and fireworks show in the afternoon. Everybody brings a different food item and dessert and their own fireworks. Nothing but good time, good friends and family.

  30. Not to forget that my younger son gets married in August. We're really looking forward to sharing the big day with them.

  31. I will read many books in the afternoons and draw and capture all pretty moments with my camera and it shall be lovely. ๐Ÿ™‚

  32. shivering in the cold downunder and very envious of you all planning summer holidays!
just have to say i LOVE the harajuku girl!
    “kawaii!!!” (thats 'cute' in japanese)
love the pretty detail on her (still stripey!) socks ๐Ÿ™‚
and the lovely layered dress ๐Ÿ™‚ just beautiful!

  33. LOL! I know what you mean now – there's a man down my little one's school wears the trainers ๐Ÿ˜› Doesn't that little dent irritate your foot? That's the exact reason I can't wear flip flops. Definitely very unique though ๐Ÿ˜€ I'll stick with my TUK puddy cats ๐Ÿ˜‰

  34. How do I post a comment without replying to someone? It seems to have changed since I was on my hols!

  35. I'm sad to say we do not really have any exciting plans for the summer, our finances have been and are really really tight and we don't have much wiggle room to do anything special, but that doesn't stop us from having fun here at home! we have a double glass sliding door to our back patio with vertical blinds in front that we close and at night when its dark enough we use a projector and shine it on the blinds and using our surround sound we watch movies ๐Ÿ˜€ so its like we have our own personal movie theater at home…

  36. start of the school holidays and i will be taking my recently adoptive daughter on her first holiday…. she looks just like some of your pictures.. x x

  37. Our big plans for the summer are – our first grandchild is due August 10, a boy!!!! My son and dil live several states away but we will be going to visit right after the baby is born. We don't know the name yet, son and dil are keeping it a secret from everyone, lol.
    Hugs and smiles, Janeann xoxo

  38. I answered below as sparkles but am going to try logging in through facebook this time. Your Day 12 Trends girl is too cute for words!! Maybe someday she will be a tube!! *fingers crossed*

  39. Hello,

Just wanted to say what a fab blog!!!!

We will be spending time at home these holidays – hoping to move soon (if the house sells) so we have lots of beautiful places around where we currently live so our plan is to take in and enjoy all the places we have not visited ince we moved here

    CLaire xxxx

  40. Beginning of August we are taking my 5 year old daughter Seren on her first weekend trip to London to see the sights and of course to show her where the Queen lives! End of August we are going camping with friends to our most favourite destination – Cornwall when hopefully the sunshine will still shine as much as it has done so already:-)

  41. Our summer plans are to buy a pool and TRY to stay cool lol. Plus having a few parties with our friends that we haven't been able to see in years.

  42. My Youngest Son has Day Camp til Aug. 18th .. He is gone from 9am til 3pm and my oldest will be at his dads for a month or so, but I get him on the weekends (we kinda switched for the next month or two) so really nothing exciting going on except that … Been swimming a few times … Maybe take the boys to a amusement park or something but other than that do not really have any plans yet …

  43. Unfortunately I'm working all summer. I do have a 3-day course in London in July though so it'll be a mini break away for me!

  44. Well, I'll have my DDs Birthday & party look forward to. My DH is also taking his driving test so hoping for another celebration there! Other than that, we plan to visit family and take a trip to London…Galleries, museums, London Eye… FAB!

  45. We don't have many plans for the summer. All of our birthdays are this summer though. Both of my sons birthdays are July 22nd & July 25th. My birthday is July 26th, & then my husbands birthday is August 19th. I supposed we'll be doing a lot of celebrating birthdays, but other then that just trips to the local zoo, parks, & museums, & the local library.

  46. Please count me in! I retweeted as well hehehe
Out plans are simple but fun: I will take the kids to summer class (tennis, guitar and art). We are hoping to go spend a weekend by the coast since we live in the desert, but no idea when.

  47. This year our budget is non existent but that wont stop us having fun. I've got old wallpaper rolls that the kids can roll out in the garden when its sunny to paint and draw on. We can pack sarnies up and go for a walk and a picnic. Trips to the library to find new adventures in the books, paper mache fun …. the list is endless ๐Ÿ™‚

  48. awesome stuff. such great works. good luck everyone.
    hugs Beth

  49. Unfortunately we're not going anywhere for the holidays because of my back problems I can't travel far or walk for long. But we will still be having fun, we will have lots of DVD's to watch and lots of challenges on wii sports to do.
