Website Issues

Well thats the first time EVER We have had such a serious server crash.

Sadly we received word about 30 mins ago to the following…

” Following a technical issue encountered with one of our web hosting servers yesterday, we regret to inform you that your web site files on server 7 have been lost.

As we do not backup any files uploaded to the web hosting servers (as stated in our hosting Terms & Conditions), you will need to re-upload your files for your site to appear on the web. Your site will no longer appear online until this has been done. “

Which was a nice way to end the day!!!! Needless to say (coz you’re reading this) we do keep back ups, but it could be a few hours before normal service resumes, and It could be a few days before all wrinkles are found and resolved.

Images will be missing from the posts and we will endeavour to bring as many of them back as soon as we can.

So please bare with us as we work to return our sites to normal.

  1. Thank you for the update!!!! Also thank you for all the hard work you put into JG. When I get home from work I will have a peek to see if anything is missing from JG and make any adjustments needed on my part.

  8. Thanks so much for the update, so so sorry you are dealing with this (I learned long ago to back up daily due to these things) I will have patience because I know how hard you and Sandy and Mea and Mr G are going to have to work. good luck

  9. Ok we’re in the final stages of uploading for most of the site… everything is almost ready. Chat is OK, Blog is OK and the main site is OK..

    In about an hour we will be ready to check the Just Gorjuss Forum and it should re-open shortly afterwards..

  10. I really found myself at a loss this morning when I discovered JG was gone…it is so much a part of my morning routine and is where I spend a great deal of it. Glad to see it is up and running again, great work 🙂 You can never back-up your info too much! Well done!!

  11. IT would have been a terrible learning exercise if we didnt already plan for the worst!!.. Its just surprising how “unhelpful” your isp becomes when they make a mistake.

    Anyway we are finished for the night.. there are a few missing images/headers nothing urgent…

    So we shall get back to normal tomorrow…

    I have to admit I got a bit scared when I saw the error page pop up.

    Thanks for getting everything up and running so quick. You must have been working like crazy so we don’t stay in JG withdrawal for too long.

  13. I am still seeing the error message when I try to log in.
    it ells me I am not a member and there is no such person with my name
    a friend went in to Just Gorjuss and said I was a guest.
    after a week of not being able to get in I tried to rejoin it loged me in this morning
    but would not let me go to any of the boards .
    the only thing I was able to go to is Board Statistics.
    I have been a member for a few years now and really miss everyone.
    Grant can you please help me.
