Meet Krize, who is Kristina Sabaite – she is a Lithuanian children´s book illustrator, based in Spain. In her wonderful Etsy store, she sells handmade toys, artworks, prints, illustrations, brooches, all sharing her unique sense of whimsy magical !  Let’s find out more:

Hello Guest Giveaway lovely! Please tell us a little bit about you , who are you, where you’re from!??
My name is Kristina Sabaite. I am childrens book illustrator from Lithuania, but now living in Spain. My etsy shop´s name is “krize” (significates “the girl who laughts”) and my shop invites to smile a little bit and to be less serious!

Tell us about what you make & your inspiration?
All my creations are inspirated in my own illustrations. I just loved the idea that the illustrations can not only remain inside the books, but also make people smile wearing illustrated brooches or hanging the print on the wall. I make jewelry, prints, toys, bags. You can find many cats, bunnies and animals at my shop.

What is your favourite item to make/sell ?
My favorite item is the brooche “I have a heart”. This little bunny with the heart is very special for me because reminds me of one very special person.

Do you have any favourite Etsy items you’ve bought?
I like buying items from other illustrators and artisans. I have whole my working studio adorned with prints and little purchases from other artists.

Whats the best advice you’ve ever been given?
When I was begining, the best advice was to remake my photos. Since then I try to make funny and colorfull photos and it works!
