I Hate Titles

A million sketches produced, a move over to a shiny new ‘poota, and the new Radiohead album ! If you are waiting for a response to an email etc etc, please be patient, it’s a little chaotic here.. as I transfer all my files over.. I could ask a little group of elves to help respond to emails, but I like doing it personally.. well.. that and the fact they’d spend all day asking me what the answers are to your questions anyway ! harumph !.. elves arent all they are cracked up to be !

So in the meantime, while moving all my files over.. I’ve had the old sketchbook out.. rules of sketchbooks are as follows:

1. They must always always always, be black in colour. It’s true.. i tried a lovely candy colour striped one once, and nothing noteworthy came out amongst any of it’s pages.. always choose a nice black book.

2. The paper shouldnt be bright white. Or you will end up with snow blindness. A sore head. Dizzy spells. Etc.

3. Ring Bound is bestest. I couldnt find a ring bound one last month ( I go through a book a month).. and paid my $ over the counter for a pretty normal looking book. The pages worried me, same paper, just bound different..but, I thought. it would ‘do’. It doesnt. Well.. actually it does. But it’s a pain to draw in. because you cant neatly tuck the other pages away, and balance the book on your knee. Found a ring bound one last week and safely tucked it into my shopping trolley, and is now proudly sitting on my desk, smiling at me to come and draw in it. It’s a cheeky, seductive little book 🙂

Which is maybe why I’ve been sketching like mad in the other ( non-superior) book.. trying to fill it up so I can move on to the little ring bound book that’s teasing me! Lots of girls, all suitable for painting… some masks, some interesting things happening re: ‘hands’.. and maybe a little ‘darker’ than usual.. I’ll post a sneaky peek soon !

Just picked up the new Radiohead album In Rainbows, I cant tell you just HOW much i love Radiohead, they are a HUGE inspiration.. mmmm…
